The mission of the Game Over Hicks Family Foundation (GOHFF) is to leverage the power of basketball as a catalyst for inspiring young people to pursue their educational interests in other disciplines including science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM).

We strive to create innovative and engaging programs bridging the gap between sports and education, empowering young minds to explore and develop to their full potential.

We are in the business of “Taking Care of Business” starting with our Basketball Training and continuing with Computer Literacy, Financial Literacy, and Entrepreneurship.

We are using 3D printing technology to manufacture new and customizable versions of our mainstay trophy line here at our Brooklyn StuyDome HQ.Taking control of of the design and manufacturing process puts us at the heart of the Maker Space sector where ideas are transformed into reality. Our trophies feature the first African-American men and women at the top of their respective games standing upon the pedestal. Many NBA stars–including Steph Curry, Alan Iverson, and Tracy McGrady–received early editions during their HS careers. And now our participants are learning to use our 3D printers to create their own trophies and more.

Your donation is an investment in joy, education, and a better tomorrow.

BUCKETS-N-BIZ

We believe innovation drives entrepreneurship, in turn, that generates wealth. Laying a sound foundation of financial literacy helps make new businesses profitable and sustainable, which contributes of the health of the community. It was this concept that led to our partnership with District 13 of the NYC Department of Education to create a Saturday program for grades 5-7 in Bed-Stuy right near Restoration Plaza. By developing a disciplined approach to their craft on the basketball court and in the lab or classroom, our young people are building the skills and resilience required for success.

● We believe in the untapped power within our young people.

● We use a “Train the Trainer” model when adding coaches and instructors to our team.

● We demonstrate our confidence in our participants by teaching them to embrace challenges.

● We partner with our parents, our neighbors, local educators, elected officials, corporate sponsors, and people like YOU!

Social impact requires action and that is why the Game Over Hicks Family Foundation is asking for your support as we approach Giving Tuesday on December 3rd. Please help us to build upon our successes by making a donation today! You contribution is tax

deductible under federal guidelines which is nice to know as we approach the year end.
